Tom's brother Figgis has always been a bit dreamy, but nothing prepares the family for what happens when the Gulf War breaks out... Tom hears Figgis shouting at the night in a language he doesn't understand. Latif, an Iraqi boy fighting in the Gulf, is somehow communicating through Figgis. Figgis can see and feel all the horrors of the war. Tom watches his brother's grip on reality slip away. As the war draws to its violent climax, will Figgis win his battle for sanity?
