Anxious Man Notes From A Life Lived NervouslyStock informationGeneral Fields

Local DescriptionThis short memoir from Josh Roberts details his lived - experience of anxiety. Supported by an enthusiastic foreword from Stephen Fry for obvious reasons (the author is seriously honest and seriously funny), this book is a down-to-earth account of the onset of Robert’s anxiety and the way it changed his relationships, work, and life decisions. While I wouldn’t recommend this as a recovery guide per se (Roberts’ mental health experience and treatment are very specific to his own background), I would certainly encourage anyone who lives with anxiety, supports someone who does, or is simply curious about anxiety, to read it. I finished the book in two sittings - it is very brief and very captivating! Kirsten
Description"So truthful, bold, clear, candid and convincing that I read it in one breathless sitting" Stephen Fry One night three years ago Josh Roberts went to a party. The next morning he awoke to discover his mind had collapsed. In a matter of days he went from being a fun loving, seemingly successful twenty-something to a hot mess of tears and nerves. Eventually he was diagnosed with Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD). Since then, he's been mending his mind, rediscovering happiness and learning to live his nervous life. Anxious Man is the story of all this. |
