David Plotkin (Walnut Creek, CA) is a senior data administrator for Longs Drugstores Inc. He designs computer systems and databases for a living, and is a self-taught web tool user. He maintains websites for various nonprofit and charitable organizations and has written several computer books on database topics and graphics, as well as 1000+ periodical articles. He's an experienced film photographer, and has portraits and weddings to his credit. He's been an avid photo buff since buying his first camera at 12, and has had his own black & white darkroom since his youth. While he still does a considerable amount of film photography, it's digitising the results that drive his passions for photography currently.
