Maggie began writing with the undergraduate workshops at Victoria University, then completed Owen Marshall's programme and a BA majoring in English Literature. About Turns, her first novel, is the result of her year taking the Advanced Diploma in Writing from Whitirea Polytechnic. She has had poetry and short fiction published in outlets that include Sport and the Listener. Maggie has worked in the recruitment industry in Wellington, and is a founder and Director of Challenger Consulting. She lives in Days Bay, Eastbourne, and has two adult sons. In her spare time, she likes to read, garden, cook and socialise as well as belonging to two book clubs.
