Author(s): Catherine (ILT) Khadra; Stock Karen Lynn; Mohammed Williams
Sangoel is a Dinka refugee from Sudan, where his father died in the war. With his sister and mother he travels to the United States and suffers the shock of the noisy urban environment. No one can pronounce his name – which belonged to his father and grandfather – but he finds a way to solve this problem, and slowly begins to find his new place.
