This is the sequel to Leaving One Foot Island, a Senior Fiction finalist in the 1999 New Zealand Post Children's Book Awards. After a disastrous term at school in Auckland, Tuaine is delighted to return to the Cook Islands where people have more time for each other. While everything is not perfect, Tuaine's deepening friendship with Adam, an Australian sailing the Pacific with his parents, is set to have the greatest impace.
