John Singleton first became an accountant (disaster) and was quickly back studying English and training to be a teacher. He spent the rest of his professional life teaching kids and students the power of language and the pleasures of reading and writing. He now lives in Canterbury. This is his second novel for Puffin. His first, STAR, was published in November 2003; the paperback will publish July 2004.
